All the new housing is complete and the kitchen is "smokeless" - for the most part :-)
Construction is slated to commence on the new Gumpa at year end. And, Geshe La has a new house!

April 2017: ReBuilding Continues!!!
March 2016: ReBuilding has commenced!!!
A team of 15 big-hearted, adventurous souls headed to the Nunnery in March of 2016 to help with the deconstruction/reconstruction of the nuns living quarters. Much was accomplished, but so much more to do!

The news in Nepal, and in the region where Bigu is located, is dismal. The second major quake was centered nearly on top of the nunnery and the damage is complete. The surrounding villages have been severely impacted and many lives were lost.
Thank you for your support as we look towards assisting these people with their immediate need for shelter (as the monsoon season sets upon them) and with their long term rebuilding efforts.
The American Foundation for Children with AIDS (afcaids.org) has graciously agreed to act as an intermediary to allow funds to flow through an accredited 501C(3) to Nepal, through our partner in Kathmandu, the Himalayan Guge organization.
You can help by sending a donation through AFCA:
If by check (made out to AFCA) - mail it to 6221 Blue Grass Avenue, Harrisburg PA 17112 and denote on it that the funds are for Nepal. If by credit card you can go to the AFCA website and select the "donate" button. Insert the term "Nepal Quake Relief" in the memo section when you are filling out the credit card donation form.
